If you are experiencing a personal crisis — You may call 972-UTD-TALK (972-883-8255) to access a mental health professional 24/7.

If you have concerns about another person and need general guidance on how to proceed — You can email [email protected] and request a consultation with a clinician (The SCC is unable to provide welfare checks/reach out to students of concern).

If you observe behavior that is disruptive or concerning and you're not sure how to address it, contact the Dean of Students at 972-883-6391 or complete the BAIT Referral Form.

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of another person — You can call the UT Dallas Police Department at 972-883-2222 and request a welfare check (on-campus only), or contact the local police department where the person resides (off-campus).

If you have been sexually assaulted — Call the 24-hour rape crisis hotline at 972-641-7273 or UT Dallas Police at 972-883-2222. You may also email the Student Counseling Center at [email protected] and request to speak with the campus Sexual Assault Recovery Coordinator. For additional sexual assault resources, click here.

DNA evidence can be collected up to 96 hours after an assault. See the Sexual Assault Recovery page for a list of local hospitals where nurses can perform the forensic exam.
