Our Commitment to Students
UT Dallas SCC staff and clinicians value the mental health of our Comet community, and we believe there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to mental health. Thus, it is our goal to provide affirming and clinically recommended services for you as an individual. At the same time, we encourage clients to make it part of their mental health goal/goals to practice ownership and care with their wellness through steps such as:
- Checking preferred email regularly for messages/correspondence with SCC staff.
- Openly communicating needs/concerns with your provider.
- Utilizing the skills, recommendations and resources you receive from the SCC in your daily life.
Having Academic Difficulties? Need a Letter?
The SCC does not provide letters of support for non-academic withdrawal for students unless they have been in ongoing treatment.
