The UT Dallas Student Counseling Center (SCC) serves as the primary mental health service provider for the UT Dallas campus, a rapidly growing institution of approximately 31,500 students. UT Dallas is a diverse community comprised of approximately 32% Asian American students, 22% White students, 14% Hispanic/Latinx/Latine students, 22% international students, 5% Black/African American students, 3% bi or multi-racial students, 0.1% Native American and 0.1% Native Hawaiian students. Applicants must also have completed all appropriate coursework prior to beginning internship.

In addition to the aforementioned requirements, preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate interest and experience working in university counseling centers through practicum and employment experiences. The SCC is also seeking applicants who express an interest in exploring personal and professional integration and are interested in an internship that utilizes a relational “use of self” model, focusing on self-reflection and awareness.
